I became an educator because I had a really hard time getting into the industry 13 years ago. My parents didn't want me to go to school for hair, so I moved out and went. I worked multiple jobs while in school and while I was in training at my first salon. I was overworked and mistreated during my training program.
I was barely 18 and a trainer called me "you little bitch" on the salon floor. I didn't have the support I needed to thrive in the industry, and because of that I enrolled in college virtually with the full intention of just using hair to move on to my next career path.
Once I changed salons, I stayed there for over 7 years, specializing in blonding and handling education while growing my vivid clientele.
I became an educator to be the supportive influence that I needed when I was first starting out and needed it. I strive to provide a thorough class where anything you want to know gets answered, an ego free environment with no bullying allowed, and a fun and open conversation where everyone has a chance to ask what they want to.
